Are Refund Anticipation Loans Rip-offs? I suppose that depends on who you question. They don’t seem to make excellent financial significance, yet many taxpayers have no conundrum paying the fees.

RAL’s exist for the same reason that pawn shops and payday loan companies exist. There is a part of the population that wants the service.

Like the H&R Block employee said, if you want to end the RAL’s, just get the refund back to the taxpayer in 2 days and pay the tax pro out of the refund.
