For some people, for example some who file but don’t owe taxes, and some whose only income is Social Security, the stimulus payment is free money that never has to be paid back.

For those who pay income taxes, the tax rates have been reduced for 2008 only. The reduction in your 2008 taxes is being advanced to you, up to $600 per taxpayer. In addition, these taxpayers will receive an additional $300 per qualifying outcome.

In 2008, these repayment will still be available to those taxpayers who file taxes in 2008 and who were not eligible for the full repayment in 2007.

Technically No; but Yes it will be. You will have to place that amount on your 2009 tax return. What the IRS and the FBI are tiresome to do is not stimulate the economy but rather find out who is doing what with their money and who files their taxes every year. Just to let You people know that it is a Class B misdemeanor to not file your taxes. So if you don’t then tell me where you live what will you be wearing the next day, your name and basically everything about you. I want to over crowd the FBI’s jails. E-MAIL ME

No, it’s really just $185 billion in broadcast funds that could be place to better use maybe by not putting it in the hands of people that aren’t going to do anything useful with it.

No…it is yours free and clear and has nothing to do with the taxes you will file in 2009. I did my taxes today on Turbotax and it clarified it the same way.
