I use to live there and it is incredible how well equipment grow there. I use to see tomatoe plants grow unattended wild. If I lived in Cali I would clean and store water in every container I could taste out of should you have a quake or a power outage you will first need water so store all you can. There are plenty video on how to do this safely. If the jug is milk then save water to wash with but not to taste there are too many people in that area.
